CREATIVES’ ACCOUNTING CLUB | KICK OFF

Hosted by KOHO advisory board member Katie Furukawa Bonifacio, the club is a group for moral support and accountability for doing the thing we hate doing most: finance stuff. We’ll use the leverage the power of body doubling to help keep us motivated.

Essentially, it’s dedicated time to work on your bookkeeping and financial reports each month. This club will meet the first Tuesday of each month!

Each session will begin with a brief introduction to each other and setting a personal goal for the session. After that, we’ll start tackling them.

We aren’t CPAs, so don’t expect any official advice, but if you’re stuck on how to do something, feel free to ask.

Once we’re finished, you’ll be in the perfect location to celebrate with a lil treat from one of Japantown’s many restaurants and shops!

FAQs

What time should I arrive?

Plan to arrive between 10:00 and 10:30am to check in, unpack, and settle in.

What should I bring?

  • Your laptop, and whatever you need to help you get your finance stuff done (receipts, sales totals, etc)

  • Emotional Support Water Bottle (optional)

  • Headphones, if they help you work (optional)

  • Slippers (optional - you can borrow a pair at the hub!)

What kind of amenities will be provided?

  • High speed wireless internet

  • Standard printer

  • Lots of outlets

  • Tables, chairs, and comfy spaces to sit in

  • Water and tea

What about coffee?

While KOHO does not offer coffee, there are local cafes nearby to support. We recommend:

  • Best Boy Electric (opens 8am)

  • Andersen Bakery (opens 10am)
