Our multi-use open gathering space is 70’ x 35’ (approx 2,100 sq ft) located in the heart of San Francisco Japantown. Influenced by Japanese aesthetics, with the glow of natural light, the Hub is perfect for conferences, product demos + pop-ups, artist exhibitions, workshops, performances, rehearsals, film screenings, and cultural events.

We recommend confirming your booking at least 4 months prior to your event date. Bookings made within 30 days of the event may incur additional administration fees.

Market Rate Rental:

$350/hr with a 4 hour minimum. Hours of rental include access to the space from load-in to load-out. KOHO may agree to co-sponsor arts events, thus a predetermined percentage of event gross sales may be possible.

Community Rates:

To serve the San Francisco Japantown and greater arts and cultural communities, KOHO is happy to offer a discount of 60% on the venue rental. Eligibility includes non-profit and arts organizations, schools, cultural districts, social institutions, Japantown merchants and employees, board of directors and members of all mentioned above.

  • Standard Package

    The venue rental includes a PA system to play ambient music  from your wireless device or laptop. Bluetooth enabled.

  • Panel Package

    Includes the Standard Package plus use of the 12’x8’ stage, 2 microphones connected to the PA system, a rolling 70” HD monitor, and a lectern.

    Includes the Panel Package plus Home Cinema 3800 projector and 120” x 67.5” in-house screen.

    Includes 4 hours of pre-planning and 8 hours of in-person facilitation leadership/team building.

  • In-House Event Assistant

    Description gOur production staff will help with load-in, load-out, set up & managing all outside catering, table & chair rentals and setup, special requests, troubleshooting, and staying ahead of your schedule all day to make sure you have a smooth event. Money well spent.

  • Security: $70/hr

    4 hour minimum

    Whether you need crowd control, access management, or simply a peace of mind. Our add-on provides a dedicated venue security support to ensure the safety and well-being of your guests and property.

Navigating the Space

Two entrances include a Post street door and a second floor interior mall door with access to an elevator to the Peace Plaza level and the parking garage below.

This space is ADA accessible, located in the Japan Center Malls surrounded by local restaurants and merchants, so we are mindful of noise. The elevator to the parking garage and restroom(s) are located down the hall. Smoking is not allowed in the building and open flame is not permitted.

We ask that the space be returned to us in the SAME GENERAL CONDITION as it was at the beginning of the rental.

Parking

Convenient in-building paid parking in the Japan Center Garage, metered street parking.

We recommend booking at least 4 months prior to your event date. Bookings made within 30 days of the event may incur additional administration fees.

When serving or selling alcohol to the general public, an Alcohol permit is required through the Alcohol Beverage Control office. When serving/selling food to the general public, permits must be secured by the Health Department. An additional cleaning/facility fee of $250 is required if serving food and/or alcohol to the general public.
