Merkado Kultura’s fifth market (MK5) returns to San Francisco as it kicks off its biggest year yet with 4 markets planned across the country, showcasing the best of the Philippines. Founded in October 2022, Merkado Kultura brings a curated market from Manila and beyond, celebrating all things Philippines—our roots and heritage, culture and traditions, makers, artists, chefs, and artisans.
Having grown up in the Philippines, co-founders and organizers France, Mel, and Bianca wanted to bring the experience of thoughtfully-curated Filipino bazaars and markets to the U.S. Working with artisan communities and small businesses, their aim is to highlight and amplify the amazing skills, artistry, and talents of Filipino makers, connecting them to Filipino communities in the US and beyond.
Merkado Kultura hopes to be a platform for discovering Pilipinx and Pilipinx American brands that celebrate the culture, traditions, food, and products of the Philippines through handcrafted, artisanal, and sustainably-made pieces, one city at a time.

FAQ
Is there a charge to attend the market?
No! While we will be taking RSVPs, the market is still free (as always!) to the public. RSVPs will allow our vendors to properly plan inventory, particularly our food vendors, but we will happily welcome anyone who walks through the door. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for purchase per day, which allows earlier entry (1 hour before the market opens to the public, and a gift bag).
What do I get with a VIP ticket?
VIP tickets are available for sale that will include a branded MK gift bag filled with goodies, as well as early access to the market before the doors open for a more intimate and quiet shopping experience.
